The team will embark on a significant medical mission aimed at providing much needed assistance and expertise in various specialties.

While being welcomed by doctors and nurses at the Nadi Hospital, the MacKay Medical Team introduced the goals of their mission and shared valuable insights into each team member's specialized medical expertise.

Understanding the importance of delivering tailored assistance, the Team took the time to familiarize themselves with the intricacies of Nadi Hospital's operations and they also gained insights into the hospital's general operations, the existing local healthcare system, clinic visit protocols, and critical information such as available medicines, medical record formats, and prescriptions.

During their week-long visit, the MacKay Medical Team planned several education sessions for the hospital staff, offering valuable training on various medical topics and these education sessions will cover essential subjects, including Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Trauma Care, Heart ultrasound scan demonstration, Paediatric care, Heart failure management, Chronic Kidney Disease long-term care guidelines, and a Nursing lecture on family planning issues.

The Team firmly believes in the power of collaboration and knowledge-sharing to improve global healthcare standards.

Their dedication to enhancing medical capabilities and empowering local healthcare professionals is evident through their comprehensive educational initiatives.

The Team is also committed to making a meaningful impact on the well-being of the local community in Fiji and looks forward to strengthening bonds of friendship and cooperation during their stay.
