The Tailevu Rugby Union has filed the necessary papers against the Fiji Rugby Union in the Suva High Court this morning.
Tailevu President Maika Rainima said their lawyers are handling everything in court and they are waiting for a decision today.
Rainima added that they remain firm that the decision made by the FRU Games Committee and the Independent Games Tribunal was unfair.
Meanwhile, we have received confirmation that the Nadi Rugby Union is also taking their matter to court today.
Nadi President Meli Tora said they are not satisfied with the Tribunal's decision and they will try to ask for a court injunction.
Tora added that they will release their Under 20 to play in the semis but not their senior side.
Tailevu is protesting that Namosi fielded an unregistered player and if the decision goes in their favor then they will replace Namosi in the semifinal.
If Nadi win their case then they will go to the top of the Digicel Cup points table meaning they will meet the fourth placed team and not Suva in the semis.
The first Digicel Cup semifinal is scheduled to be played tomorrow at Lawaqa Park between Nadroga and Namosi at 3:30pm.
