Tailevu North shocks Lelean 13-12 to book spot in U18 National quarter finals

Secondary School Rugby giants Lelean Memorial School will not be competing for the Vodafone Super Deans U18 title this year after suffering a shocking 13-12 loss to Tailevu North College in the Eastern Zone third-place playoff today.

This has seen Tailevu North College qualifying for the National quarter finals as the third best team from the Eastern Zone alongside Ratu Kadavulevu School and Queen Victoria School.

RKS is currently playing QVS in the U18 final to determine their placings heading into the National quarter finals.

Looking at other results from today’s finals, RKS won the U14 title after defeating Lelean 27-5, they also beat QVS 17-5 to win the U15 title, QVS beat RKS 21-17 to scoop the U16 title, and RKS beat QVS 24-12 to claim the U17 title.

In the Raluve competition, Adi Cakobau School thrashed Lelean Memorial School 27-0 in the U16 grade.

The Eastern Zone final is currently underway at the HFC Bank Stadium and Buckhurst Park.
