Government MP Lynda Tabuya has been appointed as the Minister for Information while Tomasi Tunabuna and Inosi Kuridrani have been appointed as Minister and Assistant Minister for Agriculture respectively.

Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka says he currently holds the portfolio of ‘Information’ and he shall hand over this responsibility to Tabuya.

He says Tabuya is well-suited to spearhead the government's public relations machinery through the Ministry of Information.

Rabuka further says Tunabuna has been an effective Assistant Minister in the Ministry and will take over from Minister for Fisheries Alitia Bainivalu who had graciously acted in the role after the sad demise of the late Vatimi Rayalu.

He adds these appointments will come into effect following the swearing–in ceremony by the President tomorrow.
