The Post Shop Tabadamu 7s side is looking at going back to their winning ways during the 49th Fiji Bitter Marist 7s held at the HFC Bank Stadium at the end of the month.

Captain Luke Lutunavanua says preparation for Marist 7s began two weeks ago, and the boys are hyped up for the prestigious tournament.

He says the Marist 7s is the holy grail of 7s competition in Fiji and aims to repeat what they did in 2020 when they won the title, defeating Police White 22-19.

Lutunavanua says all their players are in good shape and are working on improving their games, as they did not have a good start to the Fiji Bitter Series.

He adds they are also looking to their senior players to take a lead role during the tournament as some of their players will be making their first appearance in the Marist 7s tournament.

52 men's teams will battle for supremacy in the Fiji Bitter Main Cup competition, 24 teams in the U21 competition, 9 teams will compete in the Women’s Division and 6 boys’ teams and 4 girls’ teams will battle in the Pacific Energy Superstars U18 competition.

The Marist 7s will be held from the 20th to the 22nd of this month.
