Not much in-depth emphasis has been directed to Technical and Vocational Education and Training programmes that paves the way forward for Fiji school dropouts.

The Minister of Education highlighted this at the Manukau Institute of Technology.

Radrodro says students who do not perform academically can always choose TVET learning programmes as a career pathway to secure a better future.

He says dropouts have different names and it becomes the responsibility of the Pacific Island Ministers of Education to give their best.

Radrodro says he wants to know how Manukau Institute of Technology has attracted dropouts and captured their interest to complete their academic journey.

He adds that students do not drop out of school by choice but because of hardship and shortfalls.
