7,935 active scholarship application accounts have been created for the 2024 academic year and the Tertiary Scholarships and Loans Service is urging Year 13 students to complete their online applications for scholarships as processing of applications has started.

2,579 applications have been completed and are waiting for approval.

TSLS says 3,999 applications are in the process of completion or incomplete as certain scholarships for various programmes have quotas and will be filled from the highest mark to lowest for those students who have successfully completed them.

They add that a large number of applications remain incomplete, as applicants are yet to select their choice of programme, upload their final offer letter as well as essentially required documents such as birth certificate, bank details and combined parental income where applicable.

TSLS is reminding students to complete their applications before next Friday.

They say processing will be done as per the eligibility criteria, which is readily available for all schemes of scholarships, and a step-by-step application guide is available on TSLS Social media platforms, YouTube channels and website.

Applicants are reminded that receiving an offer letter from a preferred tertiary education provider does not guarantee an automatic scholarship, as applicants need to apply under the eligible scholarship scheme for sponsorship with TSLS.

TSLS says there are 9148 continuing students, and these students do not need to apply online as they are already sponsored.
