The Tertiary Scholarships and Loans Service (TSLS) has launched its newly in-house developed Sponsorship Information Management System (SIMS) during the opening of the Tertiary Scholarships and Loans Service (TSLS) at the Nadi Office.

TSLS CEO Dr Hasmukh Lal says this is to centralise and streamline all sponsorship-related data for scholarship planning and investment design, and reporting, and enhance stakeholder engagement and accessibility.

The CEO says that this new platform aims to organise all sponsored data into a single, easily accessible location for all stakeholders, ensuring transparency and efficient management.

He says that students will have access to their sponsorship details, monitor their status, and receive updates directly through the system and receive update regarding allowances, changes and other essential news.

He adds that with the Government’s plan to make TSLS a one-stop shop for Travel and Bond Clearance, the immigration integration feature will help in providing convenient public service on travel abroad approvals.

Meanwhile, the TSLS revamped website was also launched which was designed with convenience for the users in finding relevant information that has never been simpler.

Lal says as Fiji continues to become the digital and ICT hub of the Pacific, they aim to see more public sector organisations using technology-enabled business processes to serve Fijians better.

Both launches were conducted by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance, Professor Biman Prasad.
