Kadavu-based TEMC Warriors Rugby team cannot wait to compete in their first-ever Marist 7s tournament and they are excited about this opportunity to play against some of the top 7s teams around the country.

Coach Jona Bainivalu says his players are dreamers and the majority of these players have never taken part in any major 7s tournament in Fiji and to be playing in the biggest 7s tournament in the country, is a dream come true.

He says most of his players are always talking about their ultimate goal of being selected to represent Fiji in the HSBC SVNS World Series.

Bainivalu acknowledged the support of the people of Kadavu and also the Yamacia Rugby Club in Navosa for helping them prepare for this tournament.

He says when the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua came for their team bonding in Kadavu, it boosted the morale of young youths and students to take up rugby.

Bainivalu also thanked the Drua for bringing this life-changing experience to the people at the grassroots level.

The head coach is urging all Kadavu people residing in Suva and across Fiji to come and support the team during the tournament.

The Marist 7s will be held from tomorrow till Saturday at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.
