Despite the wet weather, people still turned out in numbers to be a part of Fiji Showcase 2024 where it was Telecon Fiji Wednesday.

The Sweet Sensations band kept people grooving along to covers from Katchafire, Simon and Garfunkel, Saimoni Vuatalevu, Shaggy, L.A.B, Maroon 5 and more on the Vodafone External Entertainment Stage.

Just before the band took to the stage, popular dance crew Mr.Mr had people being awed by their dance moves.

Anasimeci Ligani who had come with her family to shop and grab a bite to eat, says that Fiji Showcase is so convenient as she is able to do all her shopping in one place.

Ligani says it is also convenient as they catered to her family's different tastes with her children preferring BBQ while she went for the rourou with lamb with her husband.

Coming up today, the gates open at midday with Manava Duo kicking things off on the Vodafone External Entertainment Stage at 1pm.

Australian dance group extraordinaire Mr.Mr take the stage at 1.30pm followed by the Cocomelon and Paw Patrol mascots at 2.30pm.

On the Goodman Fielder Internal Entertainment Stage, the Vou Dance Company stiltwalkers walkabout is at 12pm.

Piva, the Brazilian magician and juggler will be on stage from 3.30pm for his first show followed by the Vou Dance Company Island Adventures Show at 4pm.

The gates will close at 10pm.

Tickets are $3 for children under 12 and $4 for adults.
