Former Ba and National rep Avinesh Suwamy says he is grateful to Nadi for accepting him with open arms as he prepares to play his first tournament with Nadi.

Suwamy who played for Ba for almost 16 years says doing his best for the All in One Builders Nadi team is the only thing on his mind at the moment.

Suwamy started as an 18-year-old for the Ba side way back in 2005, in a career lasting 16 years.

He had captained Nadi in their Vodafone Premier League match against Ba where Nadi had won by 5-1 last month. He was also an instrumental for the Ba side in 2007 which played in the 2007 OFC Champions League final where they narrowly lost out to New Zealand club Waitakere United on away goals.

Nadi takes on Navua in the first match of the Punjas Battle of the Giants tournament at 12pm this Friday.

You can catch the live commentaries of the Labasa-Suva match at 2pm, Ba-Nasinu clash at 4pm and Rewa-Lautoka game at 6.30pm on Radio Sargam.
