The FMF Suva women’s Under 20 side and the senior rugby team held their jersey presentation last night as both teams gear up for the finals tomorrow where the U-20s will face defending champions Nadi and the senior team will meet Namosi.

Both teams were surrounded by family members last night as parents and loved ones presented the jerseys to the ladies in a moving yet powerful gesture to motivate the capital side in creating a havoc in the finals tomorrow.

Suva U-20 captain and lock Tahea Lee told fijivillage News, that they are treating Nadi with respect and they are ready to give them a run for their money tomorrow.

Lee says it has been a long season for the girls’ and to reach the end of the season and play in the finals, is an honour and they will work hard to get that trophy.

Adding to the Suva firepower is the talented scrum half Noelina Baselala, the younger sister of Drua scrum-half Philip Baselala.

Senior team head coach Tavaita Rowati says they have met Namosi already this season and they are not an easy side to play.

She says they will play their cards right in the final and hopefully come out as winners when the final whistle is blown.

The U-20 women team will play Nadi at 9am while the senior team will face Namosi at 11am. Both games will be played at Ratu Cakobau Park, Nausori.

Meanwhile, Suva will face Nadroga in the Skipper Cup final at 3pm.
