The Suva Rugby Union says it will be commemorating tomorrow's Skipper Cup game in memory of one of its star front rowers, Alefoso Yalayalatabua who was laid to rest yesterday.

They will be wearing black armbands as a sign of grief and respect for the passing of Yalayalatabua who started playing at the centre and moved to prop before breaking into the Flying Fijians.

Yalayalatabua was a regular for Suva, Namosi, Navy, and the Army side for the Sukuna Bowl including his 10 caps for the Flying Fijians.

Yalayalatabua was part of the 2007 Rugby World Cup Flying Fijians team that reached the quarterfinals.

He was only 43-years-old.

Yalayalatabua is the fourth member of Fiji’s 2007 Rugby World Cup team that has passed away.

The list also sadly includes Maleli Kunavore, Jone Railomo, and Seru Rabeni.

The Skipper Cup match and Farebrother Challenge between Suva and Nadroga will be held at 3pm at Lawaqa Park tomorrow.

Nadi will also take on Yasawa at 3pm at Churchill Park, Naitasiri will face Lautoka at 3pm at Ratu Cakobau Park while Namosi will face Tailevu at 3pm at Thompson Park.
