The Suva Retailers Association says their members that will be open tomorrow, which is a public holiday, will give time for their staff to go and vote.

Association President Jitesh Patel says some businesses will open late so their workers can vote in the morning while some businesses will have shift work so that staff have time to vote.

Patel says the information that they are getting is that most of the businesses in the city will be closed for the day.

Meanwhile, Supervisor of Elections, Mohammed Saneem is requesting business owners to open half day on election day and is appealing to all Fijians to turn up and cast their vote on election day as the Fijian Elections Office is concerned that the voter turnout for the 2022 general elections could be as low as 50%.
