People turned up in numbers for the health expo that is currently underway at the World Harvest Centre Car Park in Suva, taking the opportunity to check their health status.

While speaking to fijivillage News, Repeka Taletawa, a resident of Nasinu says this kind of opportunity is rare for mothers and children, so she took advantage of it since it is free and conveniently located near her home.

Taletawa says with the rise in health issues such as NCDs and other related conditions, she is grateful to World Harvest Centre for hosting a health expo that benefits the public.

The 37-year-old says as a wife and mother, ensuring her family's health is a top priority, she needs to take care of herself first and stay informed about her health status.

CMFI Church Administrator at World Harvest Centre, Ulaiasi Vosabalavu says with the increasing prevalence of NCDs in the community, they decided to host a free medical clinic as part of their mission to serve and support those living near the World Harvest Centre.
