Suva team is set to start strong at the OFC Futsal Club Championship tomorrow at the Vodafone Arena.

Suva Futsal captain Filipe Baravilala says the team is ready to launch its campaign at the championship, with preparations tracking well ahead of their opening match.

Baravilala says the team’s preparations have gone smoothly, and the boys are ready for the competition.

He believes the past two editions have provided valuable insight into the level of performance required.

He emphasises that it will be a tough competition, and playing on home turf brings added pressure from fans and families.

Baravilala says Suva’s mix of experienced national reps and emerging young talent gives him confidence heading into the week-long tournament.

He adds that while the team knows little about some of their opponents, Suva will focus on controlling what they can.

Baravilala urges fans to come out in numbers to support the team, adding that their presence will boost the morale of the players.

Suva takes on the Southern Legions at 7pm the Vodafone Arena tomorrow.
