12 teams will be participating in the T-20 Super League 2025 organised by the Suva Cricket Association to celebrate their 70th anniversary.

The Association says they are partnering with Sports World and Cricket Fiji to commemorate the anniversary.

They are also thanking the Suva City Council for providing Albert Park to start this tournament at a reasonable price.

The Association says this milestone event will bring together the best cricketing talent in the region, celebrating seven decades of cricket excellence in Suva.

Teams that will be participating in this tournament include Police, Army, Nasaqalau, Moce, CAF Warriors, Cicia, Komo, Total, CF Development, CF Women’s, BSP and Ono.

The Association says since its establishment in 1955, they have played a pivotal role in the development of cricket in Fiji, nurturing young talent and promoting the sport at grassroots and professional levels.

They say the T-20 Super League 2025 will serve as a grand tribute to this legacy, showcasing high-energy matches, top-tier competition, and a celebration of Fiji’s rich cricketing heritage.

They say the collaboration with Sports World, Fiji’s leading sporting goods retailer, and Cricket Fiji, the governing body for cricket in the country will elevate the tournament to new heights, drawing in national and regional cricketing stars.

The Association says the event will not only focus on thrilling cricket action but will also include special festivities, honouring the history and achievements of Suva Cricket Association where past cricketing legends, stakeholders, and fans will be recognized for their contributions, making this a truly historic event.

Association President Sumanta Rout says they are thrilled to celebrate 70 years of cricket in Suva with this grand tournament.

He says the T-20 Super League 2025 will be a testament to their commitment to the sport and passion for bringing the cricketing community together.

Sports World General Manager, Vinod Kumar says they are honoured to support this landmark event.

He says they believe in the power of sports to inspire and unite people, and they look forward to an electrifying tournament.

Cricket Fiji CEO, Sitiveni Rokoro says this partnership reflects they vision to promote and develop cricket in Fiji.

He says the T-20 Super League 2025 will showcase talent and reaffirm the nation’s love for the game.

T-20 Super League 2025 starts this Saturday at 7.30am in Albert Park.
