Police are still questioning a 28 year old man in relation to the carjacking case in Lautoka.

The suspect was taken into custody yesterday.

A team has been set up to investigate and identify the people who were caught on camera while stealing a vehicle.

Police received a report after which a search was conducted and the vehicle was found abandoned on the same night.

CCTV footage of this incident is being circulated on Facebook showing eight people getting into a vehicle after the driver parked at the side of the road in Kashmir to go to the shop.

The eight men got into the vehicle while the man’s wife and two children were still in the four wheel drive.

The driver is seen running back to the car and jumping through the window.

He is repeatedly punched by the men in the car while his wife managed to get out of the vehicle.

Their two children were then thrown out of the vehicle while the men were driving off.
