Director of Super Drug Pharmacies Abhay Nand and Health Minister Doctor Ifereimi Waqainabete.

Super Drug Pharmacy has today handed over more than 10 wheelchairs and 150 face masks to the Health Ministry in the fight against COVID-19.

Director of Super Drug Pharmacies Abhay Nand says they hope other companies are motivated and come on board and help the Ministry.

Nand says this is their contribution to the health care system.

He says while he was stuck in Australia for 11 months because of the COVID restrictions, he saw their health system had issues and that was where the private sector came in to help.

Nand says he hopes this will be the same for Fiji.

Meanwhile, the Health Minister Doctor Ifereimi Waqainabete says they are grateful to Super Drug for their tremendous assistance.

He says the health ministry cannot fight COVID-19 alone and they will need assistance like this from the private sector.
