The Savusavu Women’s 7s team are looking to topple the giants of women’s 7s after winning their first two games at the Fun Flavor Super Sevens Series.

Savusavu had earlier beaten Waitui Waidroka 15-10 in their first match and then went on to beat Seahawks in their second game.

Savusavu becomes the first women’s team to qualify for the cup quarter final.

Savusavu captain Salaseini Ranevi says most of their players have taken up rugby for the first time and they just want to display their skills to the Fijiana management.

Ranevi scored two tries in the game against Seahawks.

In other results:

Striders beat Valkyrie 17-12, Lautoka beat Lilian Amazon 24-5 and Police thrashed Fire Wardens 29-0.

The women's cup quarter finals will be held at 2:40pm today.
