Joseph-Aukuo Suaalii will make his first appearance for the NSW Waratahs in tomorrow's trial match against the ACT Brumbies.

Suaalii will be trialled at fullback as part of a star-studded Waratahs backline in their final hitout before their opening match against the Highlanders on February 14th.

The rugby league convert has been exclusively used as an outside centre at international level.

Coach Dan McKellar says there's so much training they can do, but now it is about him putting into practice in a match situation what he has worked hard on.

Suaalii is one of ten Wallabies in the starting side, with three further on the bench.

This includes Taniela Tupou, with Dan Botha starting in the front row alongside the returning Dave Porecki and Angus Bell.

In other trial matches, the Highlanders will meet Moana Pasifika, the Crusaders will play the Blues, the Reds will face the Bristol Bears, and the Chiefs will take on the Hurricanes.

The 2025 Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific will kick-off on the 14th of next month with the Swire Shipping Fijian taking on the Brumbies on the 15th at the HFC Bank Stadium at 3.35pm.
