Students need to make up firm decisions on the programs and courses they want to do when applying for TSLS as they need to know that the tuition fees and allowances are paid by the taxpayers of Fiji who expect students to study hard and complete their program within the bond period.

This is the message by Tertiary Scholarships and Loans Service Chief Executive Officer Hasmukh Lal during the launch of the TSLS Community Awareness Handbook and the opening of the key Stakeholders Awareness Workshop at the Holiday Inn in Suva today.

Lal says the handbook is all about informing the key stakeholders of TSLS which includes the universities, different government ministries, digital platforms and also the employer organisations.

He further says this handbook will create awareness in terms of the eligibility criteria and selection criteria and how to apply online when the scholarships open next year.

The CEO says there will also be digital copies of the handbook readily available on the social media pages of the TSLS Facebook page and on their website.

Lal adds the grant applications are open this year, while the applications for the different schemes of scholarship will open from semester one next year.
