A first win for the Melbourne Storm at their home ground this year after beating Wests Tigers 24-12 at AAMI Park.

The Storms suffered back-to-back defeats against the Bulldogs and the Titans to find themselves in the unfamiliar territory near the bottom of the NRL ladder.

Last night was a different story for the man in purple after bouncing back to earn their first win.

An offside penalty against the Tigers gave Melbourne the chance to open their scores in the sixth minute through a Nick Meaney penalty goal.

On the back of a six-again call the Storm worked their way downfield and opened the door for Will Warbrick to cross for his first NRL try in the 19th minute and the second try was later scored by back-rower Nick Meaney.

Cameron Munster was intrumental in his kicking skills throughout the game.

In other results, the Dolphins lost to the Broncos last night by 18-12.

Meanwhile, today's fixtures will see the Cowboys going against the Titans at 6.30pm and Rabbitohs facing Sea Eagles at 8.35pm.
