The stage is set for the second leg of the newly formatted HSBC SVNS Series 2023-2024 that will be held in Cape Town tomorrow as all teams look forward to battling it out and finishing this year on a high note.

The Fiji Airways National Men’s and Women’s 7s teams will be hoping to make a better finish in this tournament after finishing 4th and 5th respectively at the Dubai 7s last weekend.

Earlier this week, Fiji Men’s head coach Ben Gollings spoke about how the team will be focusing on a few important areas like game management and also their finishing when they are in a good position in a game.

Gollings also mentioned the team’s goal of finishing this year in a better position and they will be looking to see it through.

The Fijiana 7s side will also be looking to follow up with their consistency from pool play after they secured two comfortable wins in the pool games and took New Zealand to the wire in their final pool match last weekend.

They went on to lose their quarter final match against France before bouncing back to claim 5th place after defeating Ireland.

The Fiji Men’s side will take on France at 8.28pm tomorrow in their first pool match, they will then take on Spain at 11.06pm tomorrow before taking on Argentina at 4.50am Sunday in their final pool match. The cup quarter finals will kick off at 8.34pm Sunday, the semi finals will start at 12.56am Monday and the cup final will be at 5.23am Monday. The Fijiana 7s side will play Japan at 7.22pm tomorrow in their first pool match, they will then play Spain at 9.34pm tomorrow before playing Australia at 1.54am Sunday in their last pool match. The Women’s cup quarter finals will start at 7pm Sunday, the semi finals will be at 12.12am Monday and the women’s cup final will kick off at 4.43am Monday. Stay with us for updates.
