Sowakula to feature for Chiefs against the Highlanders

Fiji-born Pita Gus Sowakula has been named in the 23 member team for the Chiefs that will take on the Highlanders in Super Rugby Aotearoa tomorrow.

Sowakula has been named on the bench while All Black Luke Jacobson will start at number 8.

With Chiefs co-captain Sam Cane side-lined due to injury, Coach Clayton McMillan has given the responsibility of number 7 to Kaylum Boshier to start.

Chiefs co-captain Brad Weber will again combine with Kaleb Trask in the halves while Quinn Tupaea and Anton Lienert-Brown will light up the midfield, and Etene Nanai-Seturo and Jonah Lowe return from injury to start respectively on the left and right wing.

Damian McKenzie will start at fullback.

The Chiefs will take on the Highlanders at 7.05pm tomorrow and the Hurricanes will face the Crusaders at 3.35pm Sunday.
