Fijian-born Pita Gus Sowakula and partner 2017 Rugby World Cup finalist Toka Natua will leave late next year to join Clermont in France.

The pair, who have been together since Sowakula’s first year with the Chiefs in 2017, has never been to France before and are excited to experience the different style of rugby and travel.

Sowakula says the All Blacks are the goal and the dream is still there.

He now focuses to get back into the Chiefs this season and play the best rugby he has ever played and putting his hand up for selection for the next world cup.

The 31-year-old says it's the right time for him and his family to move on from New Zealand due to age and also to get more opportunities abroad and make the most of it for their family.
