Southern Zone Secondary Schools Rugby giants Grammar and MGM secure wins in Round 1

Vodafone Southern Zone Secondary Schools Rugby Union under 18 giants Suva Grammar School and Mahatma Gandhi Memorial High School School kicked off their campaign on high notes after beating Lomary Secondary School 58-22 and Ratu Simione Matanitobua College 44-31 respectively today.

Nasinu Secondary School also made a huge statement by beating Marist Brothers High School 15-10 in the under-18 grade this afternoon.

All games were held at Suva Grammar School grounds today.

Meanwhile, in the U14, MGM beat Marist 36-10 and Nasinu won by default over Ratu Sukuna Memorial School while in the U15, Gospel High School defeated Assemblies of God High School 15-0 and Suva Sangam College upset John Wesley College 15-8.

In the U17, Gospel defeated RSMS 14-5 and Jeremiah College overcame Latter Day Saints 13-7 while in the under 19, Naitasiri Secondary School thrashed Marist 72-5, Lomaivuna Secondary School defeated Nabua Secondary School 12-3 and Grammar beat LDS 11-3.
