South Africa has retained the HSBC SVNS Cape Town 7s title after defeating Argentina 21-19 in the final this morning.
The Blitzboks came from 14-7 down at halftime to win their sixth title on home soil.
Looking at the men’s results, Fiji defeated France 26-19 in the third-place playoff, New Zealand beat Great Britain 27-12 in the fifth-place playoff, and Australia defeated Spain 24-12 in the seventh-place playoff.
Meanwhile, Australia won the women’s title after defeating New Zealand 26-12 in the final.
Australia scored four tries while the Black Ferns scored twice.
Looking at the women’s results, France edged the USA 15-12 to claim third place, Japan beat Canada 12-10 in the fifth-place playoff, and the Fijiana 7s thrashed Great Britain 43-7 in the seventh-place playoff.
