Blues No.8 Hoskins Sotutu who has been one of the shining lights in Super Rugby Aotearoa this year has the All Black No.8 position on the back of his mind.

Newshub reports the 21-year-old admits he still has plenty to learn and having had a taste of Super Rugby last year, the bruising back-rower is now relishing his regular starting role.

Blues coach Leon McDonald says Sotutu is a gifted player and he steals the ball on the ground, he rips it out of people's hands, he can offload and he is even great in the line-outs.

The Blues will take on the Highlanders at 7.05pm Saturday while the Crusaders will face the Chiefs at 3.35pm Sunday.
