Being away from home and not seeing your children for months is not an easy task for a mother and FEMAT Lead Nurse Maria Vucago understands this very well.

Vucago who has 5 children and is part of the FEMAT Team says sometimes she cries when speaking to her children through video calls because she has been away for a long time.

She says she never imagined that this is how her nursing career would be as the current situation is usually seen in movies or the news.

The mother of five is pleading to all Fijians to adhere to the advice from the Health Ministry.

She says many people might be asking why nurses and doctors are telling you these things, and it is because they are in the field serving and caring for those who need medical treatment for COVID-19.

Vucago says they do not want things to get worse and people to start panicking.
