Acting Prime Minister, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum says people are willfully digging up trenches across the roads to connect water pipes.

While speaking on the review of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport 2016/2017 Consolidated and 2015 Annual Reports, Sayed-Khaiyum says this has happened in Sila and Naevuevu in Nadroga.

Sayed-Khaiyum adds a number of bridges are being replaced from Tavua up to Tailevu North.

He says a number of bridges have also been raised as the bridges built in the past were at low levels and used to get flooded easily. He gave Moto Bridge in Ba as an example.
