Some parts of Suva are currently flooded due to sudden heavy rain.

The Raiwaqa Police Station has confirmed that roads in Milverton, Nailuva, and Grantham, Reservoir Road along with some nearby roads are flooded.

They say a team has been deployed to assist students on their way home, ensuring they arrive safely and are not affected by the flooding.

The Nadi Weather Office say that due to the high temperatures in the Suva area, heavy rain and thunderstorms are expected in the afternoon.

They say partly cloudy conditions with afternoon or evening showers and isolated thunderstorms is expected until tomorrow.
