Some parents are now questioning the Ministry of Education regarding how prefects were chosen in some schools.
Minister for Education Premila Kumar revealed this at the Suva Principals Association Talanoa Session yesterday.
Kumar says the Ministry has never involved themselves at that level because this is something for the school to decide.
However she says because these concerns are coming up, they are thinking of preparing a guideline to help schools in the selection of prefects.
The Minister says they will come up with this policy at a later stage.
