The Skipper Cup and Marama Championship matches kick off from tomorrow.

The tournaments will showcase the talents, skills, and preparations of teams for the upcoming season.

Speaking at the event, Fiji Rugby Union CEO Koli Sewabu said that despite limited resources across the provincial unions, the commitment at the administrative level to uplift rugby in communities remains strong.

Sewabu emphasized that the Skipper and Marama Cups are more than just domestic competitions — they are essential development pathways for players.

He says these platforms allow our young men and women to grow and rise through the ranks.

He adds that the competition is not just about winning, but also about pride, identity, and opportunity.

In the Skipper Cup, Ba will take on Suva in the first round at the new look Govind Park, Lautoka takes on Nadi at Churchill Park, Naitasiri plays Malolo, Nadroga takes on Macuata while Tailevu takes on Vatukoula.

All these matches start at 3pm tomorrow.

In the Marama Cup, Tailevu plays Namosi at 11am tomorrow at Nakelo Ground, Lautoka takes on Nadi at 11am at Churchill Park, Naitasiri takes on Yasawa at 11am at Ratu Cakobau Park, Kadavu takes on Suva at Lawaqa Park at 9am tomorrow while Nadroga plays Nasinu at 1pm.

Nadroga is the holder of the Skipper Cup while Suva is the Marama Cup holder.
