Sixth day of search, still no sign of missing boy in Taveuni

Today is the sixth day of search for the missing 7-year-old of Qila Settlement in Taveuni with no signs of Chirag Murti.

While his disappearance remains a mystery, the family of the missing young boy is waiting for him to return home.

Chirag’s father, Shyam Murti says they are willing to do anything that can find their son and is pleading with the public to come forward if they have any information that will help them find their son.

He says the community members are not giving up and continue to search for him.

He had told fijivillage that his son who cannot speak was last seen playing with his twin brother and an older brother at their home in Qila, Taveuni.

He says his son was wearing a red t-shirt and blue shorts.

Police spokesperson, Ana Naisoro says search is still continuing and the Divisional Crime Officer North is in Taveuni to oversee the search efforts and investigation.
