Six health facilities to pilot organizational management system.

Six health facilities will pilot a organizational management system called 5S-KAIZEN-TQM which the Health Ministry says will lead to the improvement of the working environment, productivity, safety and reducing mistakes.

The pilot health facilities are CWM Hospital, Nausori Health Centre, Valelevu Health Centre, Fiji Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Services, Labasa and Sigatoka Hospitals.

While speaking at the release of the project’s implementation guideline, Health Minister Doctor Ifereimi Waqainabete says the Japan International Cooperation Agency has been working closely with the Ministry of Health and implementing the project since 2019.

He says he has already seen improvements.

KAIZEN which is the Japanese word for improvement is a Japanese business philosophy of continuous improvement of working practices and personal efficiency.
