The case of Comrade Trustee Services Limited (CTSL) statutory manager and Fijian national, Sitiveni Weleilakeba will return to court on March 10th 2022 for submission of police file following his arraignment this week at the Waigani Committal Court.

Weleilakeba has been charged with one count each of forgery and uttering and is on a court bail of K2000.

After reading his charges, Magistrate Paul Nii set out Weleilakeba's bail conditions which includes the handing over of his passport to police and not to leave National Capital District without the permission from the court.

The court heard that on July 29th 2021, Sitiveni Weleilakeba allegedly sent a forged payslip of himself from CTSL to the Fiji Revenue and Customs Service that showed that he was paying taxes to the Internal Revenue Commission.

He then in his capacity as the statutory manager for CSLT in December last year, allegedly directed a payment of K665, 482.45 from CTSL’s management account to the Internal Revenue Commission for his personal income liability for the period of January 2021 to November 2021.

PNG Police say Weleilakeba had allegedly not paid his taxes to the IRC under his first two contracts until Dec 1st 2021.
