Former Fiji National 7s rep and Fiji Water Flying Fijian utility back Sireli Maqala is leading the try-scoring table for the Top 14 competition in France with nine tries this season.

According to Opta statistics, Maqala is fourth in the major European leagues for the most breakdown steals this season and is the only backline player on the top 10 list.

According to Top 14 standings, Maqala has surpassed Lyon scrum-half Baptiste Couilloud, solidifying his reputation as one of the league’s prolific finishers.

Maqala’s performances have been instrumental in Bayonne’s strong campaign, showcasing his ability to shine at the highest level of club rugby.
