A single mother is pleading for help for her and her six children as all their belongings were destroyed in the fire incident at Wilo Street, Nakasi yesterday.

Roslyn Mohammed says she use to sell doormats which was her only source of income but now her sewing machine has also been destroyed in the fire.

She says they have moved in with her brother for now but they need basic food items, clothes, milk and diapers for her three-month-old baby.

Mohammed says some people have come forward to help them with adult clothes.

She adds she will be grateful if someone could help her buy a sewing machine so that she can earn money for her family.

The fire started around midday yesterday.

It destroyed a shop, bakery and three homes.

The National Fire Authority says the fire had started from the bakery which was vacant at the time.

No one was injured.

NFA is investigating to ascertain the cause of the fire incident.

If you want to assist this family, you can contact Mohammed on 8774683.
