Singapore 7s: Loganimasi scores a hattrick as Fiji beat Canada 33-7

Ponipate Loganimasi scored a hattrick to assist the Fiji Airways National Men’s 7s team move on to the 9th place playoff in the HSBC Singapore 7s tomorrow.

Fiji beat Canada 31-7.

Loganimasi scored his first try in the 1st minute of the game to give them a 7-0 lead.

Joji Nasova crossed over the try line to ensure Fiji led 12-0 at halftime.

The Fijian side came back firing in the second half as they scored another three tries.

Viliame Naikausa crossed over the try line in the 8th minute, while Loganimasi scored two other tries to give Fiji a 31-7 win.

Elias Hancock scored the lone points for Canada.

Fiji will now face Spain at 4.36pm today in the 9th-place playoff.

The men’s semi-finals will start at 5.48pm today, and the final will kick off at 10.21 tonight.

Meanwhile, the Fijiana 7s side will face New Zealand in the women’s semi final at 5.02pm today. The semi-finals will begin at 5.02pm today, and the final will be held at 9.41 tonight.
