Singapore 7s: Fijiana to play China in 5th place semi final at 3.06pm tomorrow

The Fiji Airways Fijiana side will now play China in the 5th place semi final at 3.06pm tomorrow after going down 24-19 to France in their second pool game at the HSBC Singapore 7s.

Alycia Christiaens got a hat trick for France scoring two of those tries n the first half with Valentine Lothoz.

Verenaisi Ditavutu managed to get the Fijiana on the board in the dying seconds of the first half.

France led 17-7 at half time.

The Fijiana rallied in the second half with tries to Michell Seruvatu and Mere Vocevoce but time was not on their side allowing France to escape with the win.

The cup semi final is at 5.45pm tomorrow with the cup final at 11.05pm tomorrow.

In other matches, China beat Brazil 19-5, Great Britain edged the USA 15-12, Japan defeated Spain 24-12, France thrashed Ireland 17-0, New Zealand thumped China 38-0, Canada beat Great Britain 14-5, while Australia thrashed Spain 31-0.
