Singapore 7s: Fiji to play Argentina at 6.56 tonight in second semi final

The Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s side will meet Argentina in the HSBC Singapore 7s second cup semi final at 6.56 tonight.

This is after they thrashed traditional rivals New Zealand 36-5 in their second pool game.

Sevuloni Mocenacagi, Joseva Talacolo and Joji Nasova who scored a double in this game to extend his lead on the top try scorers list for the season.

Fiji led 17-5 at the break.

Filipe Sauturaga, Nasova and Vakadranu extended Fiji’s lead in the second half with conversions from Sakiusa Siqila and Maisamoa.

This Fiji side looked different from the team that played last week in Hong Kong, with more team tries this week as well as better communication.

In the first cup semi final, Kenya meets Spain at 6.34pm while the cup final is at 11.41 tonight.

In other matches, Kenya beat Ireland 17-7, Spain defeated Uruguay 21-12, Great Britain thrashed South Africa 38-10, New Zealand beat the USA 29-14, Kenya edged France 10-7, Uruguay thumped Australia 28-5, South Africa edged Argentina 26-24, Ireland beat France 26-19, Spain thumped Australia 28-7, Argentina beat great Britain 19-12.
