The New Zealand Black Ferns have claimed the women’s title at the HSBC Singapore 7s after beating Trans-Tasman rivals Australia 29-7 in the cup final.

In a 7s rugby masterclass, New Zealand completely neutralised the Australian attack with solid tackles as well as starving them of possession.

They ran in five tries through Michaela Brake with a double, Risi Pouri-Lane, Jazmin Felix-Hotham, and Kelsey Teneti.

Australia scored through season top try scorer Maddison Levi.

New Zealand had earlier thrashed France 40-14 in the cup semi final.

They were announced the HSBC SVNS 2025 League Winners after they qualified for the semi finals after Day 1 of competition.

The top 8 teams in the competition will now look towards the World Championship in LA next month, where the top eight men’s and women’s teams will head to Dignity Health Sports Park, the LA 2028 Olympics venue, for a winner takes all battle on the pitch.
