Shannon Patrick has been announced as Miss Goodman Fielder in this year's Miss Hibiscus.

The 68th edition of the Hibiscus Festival promises to be a grand celebration with events scheduled from Saturday, August 31st, to Saturday, September 7th, at the Suva Civic Foreshore and Suva Civic Centre with FMF and Vodafone as the Gold Sponsors of the festival.

The Suva City Council says she is not only a contestant but also a beacon of hope and inspiration for her community, as she also has a Professional Diploma in Business Management.

Patrick is also fluent in English and Hindi.

They say Patrick’s passions extend beyond her professional life as she is an avid performer of Indian classical dance, a skill she has honed over the years.

They add she has a keen interest in photography, painting, and drawing making her a well-rounded artist with a rich appreciation for various forms of expression.

Her Rotuman heritage enriches her cultural perspective, adding depth to her love for Suva's vibrant culture and history, a city rich in both colonial and modern architecture, Suva holds a special place in Patrick’s heart.

They say her admiration for the city's unique blend of traditions and contemporary lifestyle fuels her ambition to create positive changes within the community.

Her vision for Suva is one of progress and unity where the community thrives through empowered and informed citizens.
