FijiFirst Party MP, Inia Seruiratu is expected to elected and appointed as the new Leader of the Opposition as early as Wednesday.
The party had indicated this after FijiFirst Leader, Voreqe Bainimarama resigned as the Opposition Leader.
Bainimarama had earlier said that he will remain as the FijiFirst Leader while Seruiratu will be the Opposition Leader.
Prime Minister, Sitiveni Rabuka says the election of the Leader of the Opposition can be done either on Wednesday or Friday.
According to the Constitution, the opposition nominates and elects the Opposition Leader.
