Motorists and ratepayers of Nadi have raised serious concerns as they say there was no attempt for over four hours to remove a bus which was stuck on Nadi Bridge on Tuesday afternoon.

The Nadi Chamber of Commerce and Industry says traffic congestion and chaos created by this situation was unprecedented and there appeared to be no attempt to move the bus out of the bridge to ease traffic flow.

It says Police, LTA and FRA should have acted quickly to remove the bus from the bridge.

When questioned, Police say all necessary action and arrangements were made for the removal of the bus.

Spokesperson, Ana Naisoro says there was no towing company in Nadi that had the capability to tow the bus and they had to get the services of a towing company based in Lautoka.
