Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama says our festivities is a precious reward for the decisive action which was taken to spare Fiji from an outbreak of the coronavirus.

In his Holi message, Bainimarama says our chance to safely celebrate this year's festival of colours cannot be taken for granted.

He says to see Fijians of all backgrounds share in the joy of the many beautiful traditions and festivities on our national calendar is always a blessing.

Bainimarama says in our COVID contained country, Fijians can throw powder, enjoy delicacies and share treasured time among friends and family.

He says with the world's recovery within reach, we can look forward to the day when the light of humanity triumphs over the darkness of this deadly pandemic.

The Prime Minister has wished everyone in Fiji and the Fijian diaspora around the world a happy Holi.

Hindus around Fiji will be celebrating Holi tomorrow.
