The Ministry of Health is now administering the second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine in Labasa.

The target group in this phase of the vaccination rollout are front-liners, who have turned up in numbers to get their second dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine.

Divisional Commissioner Northern, Uraia Rainima received his second jab along with his team members.

Rainima says he chose to get vaccinated as it's the only way to protect himself and his family.

He is encouraging fellow civil servants and members of the public to get vaccinated and support government's efforts in the fight to tackle COVID-19.

The vaccination campaign is being conducted at the Provincial Administrator Macuata Office ground floor of the Macuata House.

The centre provides this service on a daily basis from 8.30 am to 4pm.
