Important issues such as climate change, human trafficking and drug trafficking, immigration and customs are expected to be discussed in the "second Engaging with the Pacific meeting" in Nadi next week.
Under the theme "Strengthening Partnership Among Pacific SIDS" Foreign Affairs Ministry's Deputy permanent secretary, Sila Balawa said the meeting this year would be bigger and better.
Meanwhile twenty countries have indicated their willingness to be at the meeting including Vanuatu, Papua New Guinea, the Solomon Islands, Tonga, Wallis & Futuna, French Polynesia, Kiribati and Timor Leste.
Meanwhile, Fiji has also invited development partners from Japan, Morocco, Indonesia, Malaysia, India, South Africa, Korea, Bhutan.
The two day meeting kicks off next Thursday at the Tanoa International Hotel in Nadi.
