The search for models for the 2021 Fiji Fashion Week is underway.

They are looking to recruit 35 new models.

Aspiring model Fane Naitini says she has always kept her eyes on becoming a lawyer and model.

She says she was nervous walking down the runway but once she got a hang of what to do, she started enjoying it.

Fiji Fashion Week Public Relations Manager, Lice Movono says they had the first audition in Suva today and will also be out in the Northern and Western Divisions to try and get some new faces.

Movono says they have had amazing models over the years but they are also in the business of bringing new talents to the global stage.

Fiji Fashion Week Managing Director Ellen Whippy-Knight says despite all the difficulties in the COVID-19 era there are many great things they can do to bring back what is great and special about the international Fashion Week brand.

Whippy-Knight says this year they will bring back two nights of the best of Fiji Fashion where they have some innovative grassroot activities and competitions onto the digital space.

Model Judge, Fang Fang Jamnadas says she is very excited to see majority of the newcomers that have the package of becoming a model.

The 2021 Fiji Fashion Week will be held from the 24th to the 29th of May at the Vodafone Arena.
